SENIOR ADVOCACY COORDINATOR

Senior Advocacy Coordinator What you'll do. The Senior Advocacy Coordinator plays an important role in advancing the advocacy team's work by providing operational and logistical support for in-district, state, and regional initiatives. This position helps implement strategies that strengthen advocate capacity and expand overall impact. Working closely with internal partners across marketing, meetings services, facilities, and digital teams—as well as external vendors when needed—this role ensures advocacy efforts are coordinated, effective, and well executed. What we look for Education: Bachelor's degree in Administration, Communications, Political Science or related field Experience: Minimum of 1 year’s administrative, professional, or customer service experience Demonstrated ability to uphold the AAN's values Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or similar software Ability to use spreadsheet software to enter, compile, analyze, and retrieve data for reports Excellent time management skills and ability to deliver on multiple projects with tight deadlines Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and recordkeeping Ability to work with general supervision and contribute to project teams Superior customer service skills through verbal and electronic correspondence Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds at all levels Project coordination or meeting management experience is preferred Experience in advocacy, policy, or civic engagement is preferred Anticipates needed actions; plans and follows through with work activities; dependable and focused on getting things done to achieve goals is preferred Relevant education and/or experience exceeding the required qualifications may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis.
