Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Job Description A partner of Insight Global is seeking a Director of FP&A for a growing manufacturing organization. This individual will own the company’s planning, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis while building scalable FP&A processes for a newly public environment. This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role requiring someone who can build financial models and planning processes from the ground up while partnering closely with Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, Accounting, and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities Own annual planning, quarterly reforecasts, and rolling forecasts. Build and maintain integrated three-statement, cash flow, and long‑range financial models. Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses for executive and Board decision‑making. Lead variance analysis and translate financial results into actionable business insights. Analyze manufacturing performance, including unit economics, volume, yield, absorption, capacity, and cost. Establish KPI dashboards and management reporting. Partner with business leaders on production, commercial, supply chain, capital investment, and financial decisions. Support Board materials, liquidity planning, lender reporting, and public‑company forecasting. Improve FP&A processes, systems, documentation, and reporting infrastructure. Skills and Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Significant FP&A experience with ownership of full planning and forecasting cycles. Proven ability to build financial models and FP&A processes from scratch. Strong three‑statement modeling, cash forecasting, scenario planning, and variance analysis experience. Strong understanding of financial statements and operational drivers. Experience influencing cross‑functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment. Strong executive‑level communication and presentation skills. Public company, IPO, de‑SPAC, or similar transition experience. Manufacturing FP&A experience, including standard costing, absorption, yield, and capacity analysis. Public company, IPO, de‑SPAC, or similar transition experience. Private equity or portfolio company experience. ERP or financial planning system implementation experience.
