Meeting Facilitator

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly experienced Facilitator for a hybrid role to plan, conduct, and manage productive meetings by setting agendas, guiding discussions, and ensuring stakeholder engagement and achievement of objectives. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with organizers to define meeting objectives and prepare agendas.
• Ensure materials and equipment readiness; distribute pre-meeting materials.
• Serve as master of ceremonies, guiding discussions and covering all agenda items.
• Encourage participation, manage group dynamics, and resolve conflicts.
• Summarize decisions and action items; distribute meeting minutes promptly.
• Track progress of action items and follow up as needed.
• Gather feedback to evaluate and improve facilitation effectiveness.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or higher preferred.
• 10+ years of experience as a meeting facilitator in the public sector.
• Extensive consulting experience with governmental entities.
• Experience designing public "town-hall" style meetings on policy issues.
• Compelling and competent public speaker with strong conflict resolution skills.
• Experience working within state or DC government preferred.
• Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working with diverse audiences.

Special Considerations:

• Role requires hybrid work arrangement based in Washington, DC.

Scheduling:

• Duration of engagement is 5 months with a hybrid work schedule.
