Overview
Occupational Therapist – Acute Care in High Point, North Carolina. This is a travel, temporary assignment in a long-term care (LTC) nursing home setting. Start date is 09/28/2026 for a 13-week contract. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days, with hours from 08:00 to 16:30. Weekly pay range: $1,894 to $1,947 per week.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and periodic re-evaluations for residents in the LTC setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing activities of daily living, mobility, upper-extremity function, and cognitive strategies.
- Deliver targeted therapy interventions to improve independence, safety, and quality of life; monitor progress and modify plans as needed.
- Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, goals, and outcomes in the charting system; ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team (nursing, PT, speech therapy, social work) and provide clear communication to residents, families, and care partners.
- Support discharge planning and caregiver education to promote continuity of care beyond the assignment.

Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for North Carolina (state-specific licensure required to practice in the assignment location).
- Availability to begin on 09/28/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with 35 guaranteed hours per week.
- Ability to work the 5x8 day shift (08:00–16:30) in a long-term care setting.
- Strong documentation, assessment, and communication skills; ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
- Willingness and ability to travel for a short-term clinical assignment and adhere to supervision and compliance requirements.
