Radiology Residency and Fellowship Program Coordinator

The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 304 students per class. The MCG educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, with regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state, and two four-year campuses located in Athens (in partnership with the University of Georgia) and in Savannah (in partnership with Georgia Southern University). MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to approximately 575 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs.

Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Radiology residency and fellowship programs along with serving as liaison with the registrar's office for MCG curriculum for medical student rotations through Radiology while performing various administrative duties to support program director, associate program directors and various faculty.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Day-to-Day Assist with day-to-day operations of the Radiology residency & fellowship training programs. Plan and setup for resident/fellow meeting and conferences including Academic Exec. Attend monthly coordinator meeting conducted by AU GME office. Assist with development, coordination, and distribution of block schedules, call schedules, and other needs related to the residency program. Monitor duty hours and track leave time in New Innovations. Distribute send outs in New Innovations to fellows, faculty, nurses, and clinical staff. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ACGME policies and procedures with understanding of common specialty program requirements. Tracking and reporting Track vacation and sick leave for residents and fellows. Prepare verifications of residency and/or fellowship program completion as requested from various hospitals and institutions. Track resident scores for national exams and assist with maintaining databases of current resident/fellows information. Recruitment Assist the residency program coordinator with recruitment and interview process for candidates applying for residency program and fellowships, maintenance of all documents required for program and to demonstrate current residents are meeting departmental and ACGME requirements, and prepare for new resident orientations. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned. Administrative Prepare travel authorizations and reimbursements for residents, fellows, and program directors. Provide general administrative support for residents, fellows, residency program coordinator, program director, assistant program director. Serve as administrative support for Fellowship Program Directors, academic vice chair, and medical student director which includes but its not limited to: Scheduling meetings, preparing agenda, and recording and maintaining meeting minutes. Developing reports and providing pertinent data to Program directors and faculty. Prepare written reports and correspondence for the program directors relative to fellowship program. Coordinate all social functions for Fellowship programs. Perform any necessary data entry job duties. Planning and budget monitoring Assist with the coordination, planning, budgeting and administrative support of Radiology residency and the following fellowships: Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Integrated Residencies, Neuroradiology, Neuro Imaging, MSK, Pediatric Radiology, Abdominal, and Breast Imaging Fellowships. Assist with the coordination of fellowships involving the ABR pathway. Student Coordinator Serve as liaison with the registrars office for MCG curriculum for medical student rotations in Radiology. Track student assignment, student grades into the Banner System periodically. Upload and update d2l content, student assignments, grades to insure comparability in curriculum at direction of Medical Student Director. Attend regular Medical Student Coordinator meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with two years of directly related experience in an educational program OR High School or GED from a recognized state or federal accredited organization with five years of directly related experience in an educational program

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
