Your Opportunity As one of the fastest‑growing CPA firms in international business, we are expanding our team and seeking an Accounting Associate to join our business operations. You will prepare, review, and analyze financial reports and individual and business tax returns. The ideal candidate has in‑depth knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting procedures, can monitor daily transactions, and recommend ways to improve our clients’ financial health. A bachelor’s degree and prior work experience are required. Responsibilities Support the client onboarding process for all assigned engagements in accordance with the defined process. Engage in client acquisition and retention initiatives, providing the highest level of customer service. Organize and update financial records (digital and physical). Execute processes related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping entries, monthly closing, and financial reporting and analysis; payroll and special projects may also be assigned. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices such as preparing depreciation schedules, sales journals, and sales tax returns, reviewing and reconciling payroll records and employment tax returns. Collaborate with managers and associates to ensure clients are delighted with our services through timely communication and delivery. Prepare and file corporate and individual income tax returns. Maintain client inventory records, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, internal management reports, and ad‑hoc reports as needed. Prepare year‑end audit schedules and support the audit process. Assist in documenting, designing, and testing processes that affect the financial statements or performance of the company. Improve efficiency through systems and spreadsheet automation. Perform related duties as needed within the scope of the position. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area; master’s degree is a plus. CPA qualification or CPA track is prioritized. Other certifications (EA, Turkish CPA, ACCA, etc.) considered. Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping and accounting experience. Experience in a CPA firm is a great advantage. Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Experience with individual and business taxes is required; international tax experience is a plus. Proficiency with accounting software (minimum 2 years). Fluency in Turkish and English. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently. Up‑to‑date on industry developments and regulatory changes. Management skills or willingness to develop them. Ability to manage financial accounting projects for for‑profit and nonprofit entities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Team‑player mindset and collaborative approach. Can interact well with staff and external contacts of the authority. Maintains confidentiality and strong organizational skills.
