Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: None required Must-Have: Surgical/procedural experience preferred, but not required Description: This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. The unit consists of 343 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1. Unit staffing includes secretaries and tech availability. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling consists of set schedules with a no float policy, except in rare cases related to situational needs. Patient experience requirements are not applicable. This facility is a designated trauma center. It features a state-of-the-art Pediatric Emergency Room. The facility holds various certifications, including the Gold Seal of Approval from JCAHO, and is an American College of Surgeons Verified Trauma Center. It has an Advanced Certification in Stroke and a Gold Plus Honor Roll Elite from the American Heart Association. Accreditations include Full Accreditation in Chest Pain care and treatment services as well as several additional specialty accreditations. The ideal candidate will have surgical/procedural experience, though it is not mandatory. Advanced skills are not specified as required. Procedures performed on the unit include a wide range: - Abdominal surgeries, complex hernia repair - Cardiovascular procedures - Gastroenterology and general surgery - Gynecological surgeries - Joint replacements for knee and hip - Neurosurgery and ophthalmology - Orthopedic, pediatric, and trauma surgeries New graduates are welcome to apply.
