Job Description

An established company in Burlington, NC, is seeking a Quality Technician to join its manufacturing team. In this role, you will inspect machined and fabricated metal components to ensure they meet quality standards, customer specifications, and dimensional tolerances. You will use precision measuring instruments, review blueprints, document inspection results, and work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality concerns. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity for a detail-oriented individual looking to grow their career in manufacturing quality control.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect CNC-machined and fabricated metal components for dimensional accuracy, workmanship, and visual defects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to verify parts meet required tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to perform accurate part inspections.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections while maintaining accurate quality records and documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming parts, communicate quality concerns to production teams, and support corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in manufacturing quality inspection, CNC machining, or metal fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and dimensional tolerances.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to maintain accurate inspection records.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and manufacturing inspection procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
