Controller – Manufacturing | Mount Prospect, IL A growing manufacturing company in Mount Prospect is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead all accounting and finance operations across multiple divisions. This is a highly visible leadership role overseeing financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, operational finance, and systems/process improvements. Responsibilities Lead all accounting and finance activities across multiple manufacturing entities Oversee month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP Manage general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, treasury, compliance, and banking relationships Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and operational reporting initiatives Partner closely with operations leadership to improve margins, production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and working capital performance Oversee cost accounting functions including standard costing, BOM accuracy, labor allocations, inventory valuation, and variance analysis Coordinate audits, tax compliance, and internal control processes Support capital investment analysis, expansion initiatives, and ROI modeling Serve as a key liaison between local leadership and corporate/global finance teams Provide executive oversight of ERP systems, automation projects, cybersecurity initiatives, and technology investments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 8++ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience Prior manufacturing industry experience required Strong cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance background Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and advanced Excel/financial modeling Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a lean environment Ability and willingness to travel internationally as needed This is an excellent opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys partnering with operations, improving processes, and helping scale a growing manufacturing organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr Connect Search, LLC
