The equipment behind power grids, refineries, and industrial operations has to be accurate, safe, and running. As an Outside Sales Representative, you'll help the customers who depend on that equipment see why JM Test Systems is the partner to trust.

In this role, you will own a territory and grow it, winning new customers and expanding existing accounts across our calibration, repair, rental, and equipment sales services. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll spend much of your time in the field with utility, oil and gas, petrochemical, and industrial customers, understanding their needs and recommending solutions that keep them compliant and productive.

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

• Grow your territory. Prospect and win new accounts, and uncover whitespace in adjacent markets to build a strong book of business.
• Expand existing accounts. Deepen relationships and grow share of wallet through regular visits, calls, and account-level strategies.
• Sell consultatively. Uncover customer needs, compliance requirements, and equipment challenges, then present proposals, quotes, and solutions to decision-makers and procurement.
• Be the customer's go-to. Respond quickly, coordinate with service operations and customer success to resolve issues, and serve as the primary point of contact.
• Manage your pipeline with rigor. Keep the CRM accurate, participate in weekly pipeline and forecast reviews, and share competitive and market insight with your team.
• Represent JM Test Systems. Attend trade shows and industry events, and model our core values, safety expectations, and quality standards in every interaction.

What You Bring

• Required: 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and developing new business.
• Required: Strong communication and presentation skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Required: Organized and self-directed, with solid time management and territory planning skills.
• Required: Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Required: Ability to travel regularly within the territory (typically 4060%), with a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and outside sales experience.
• Preferred: Experience in calibration, metrology, test and measurement, or instrumentation rental, or selling to utilities, oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, or industrial manufacturing customers, using consultative or solution selling.

Work Environment

• This role combines home-office, customer-site, and occasional in-office work, including:
• Regular territory travel by car and occasional air travel
• Visiting customer facilities, including production and laboratory environments
• Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds
