Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - F/T Days

About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides direct care to a variety of complex patients, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective coordination and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: Edison, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Department/Unit: Emergency Department Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team. Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner. Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Requirements Education Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire Experience Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program Licenses & Certifications Current Registered Nurse license in New Jersey BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire #J-18808-Ljbffr
