Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

Job Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology in Lansing, MI

Join our team at a premier healthcare facility in Lansing, Michigan, where we are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to fill a Neonatology need. This practice is set within a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, known for its commitment to providing exceptional care in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Attend deliveries, assisting in neonatal resuscitation as required.
• Perform procedures including PICC line placement, umbilical line placement, needle aspiration, and chest tube placement.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and treatment plans using the Epic EMR system.
• Work a variety of shifts, including day and night shifts.
• Maintain high standards of safety and quality in care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Board certification in a relevant specialty (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA).
• Active Michigan state license (no new license candidates accepted).
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Previous neonatal experience preferred; new graduates will not be considered.
• Demonstrated proficiency in neonatal procedures.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must hold an active Michigan state license.
• Board certification is required.
• NRP certification must be current.
