Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce's client in Gilbertsville, PA is seeking a Staff Accountant who can handle full-cycle accounting responsibilities, including ownership of AP/AR, billing, reconciliation and other general accounting functions. Candidate must be fully capable of independently spearheading these responsibilities. This role will work a 4-day work week - the office is closed on Fridays.

Skills

• Strong accounting operations experience
• AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations and general accounting experience
• Ability to manage day-to-day accounting responsibilities independently
• Strong work ethic, aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Initiative and ability to figure things out independently

Nice to have:

• Government/municipal accounting experience. Understanding of PA local gov't operations
• Experience with Caselle software or similar
• Experience with escrow administration and/or utility billing
• Cash management experience
• Payroll oversight/coordination experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
