We're launching an exciting new sushi concept operating from the established kitchen of a  popular restaurant  in Livingston, NJ that has been around for over 50 years . Unlike a traditional sushi restaurant, this is a   takeout and delivery-first ghost kitchen   focused on one thing: exceptional sushi without the distractions of full-service dining.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced sushi chef to lead a new concept from day one and play a key role in shaping its future.

• Selecting and preparing premium-quality fish.

• Crafting beautiful nigiri with precision and consistency.

• Building efficient systems for a fast-growing takeout and delivery brand.

Our initial menu will feature premium sushi boxes centered around expertly prepared nigiri, complemented by a limited selection of classic maki rolls. We believe in doing fewer things exceptionally well rather than offering an overwhelming menu.

Responsibilities

• Lead all sushi production and daily operations of the ghost kitchen.

• Prepare premium fish with exceptional knife skills and attention to detail.

• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality.

• Assist in refining menu offerings and presentation.

• Manage ordering, inventory, and product quality.

• Help establish operational standards as the concept grows.

We're Looking For

• Authentic sushi experience with strong traditional preparation techniques.

• Passion for sourcing and handling premium seafood.

• Pride in craftsmanship and consistency.

• Ability to work independently while building a new operation.

• Entrepreneurial mindset and excitement about growing a brand from the ground up.

• Experience managing kitchen operations is a plus.
