Site Attendant Positions

The Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA) is seeking Site Attendants for the following Senior Housing apartment buildings: Winsor Plaza, Lakeville; Cortland Square, Apple Valley; Dakota Heights, South St Paul; Lakeside Pointe, Eagan. These positions are five hours per week with a starting pay of $15.99 per hour. Applicants will choose desired building(s) in supplemental questions on application. Recruitment Type: Positions are open until filled. This is an on-site position. Applicants must either be a current resident at the building or be willing to live on-site to be eligible for this position. Applicants who are eligible for the CDA's Senior Housing Program will be screened for program eligibility and rent will be based on program rents. Applicants who are not eligible for the CDA's Senior Housing Program will pay a flat rent of $935 for a one-bedroom unit or $1,183 for a two-bedroom unit and are also subject to tenant screening requirements. These CDA owned apartment buildings have regular contracted cleaners and lawn service. The Site Attendant provides timely light snow removal, general upkeep and grounds keeping. Other responsibilities include cleaning all common areas in between contract cleanings, and as needed. Site Attendants provide maintenance and administration duties at the building as assigned by the Property Manager.

Examples of Duties

• Perform snow removal and salt/sanding.
• Communicate clearly with a positive, respectful manner.
• Act as a positive representative of the CDA.
• Perform assigned administrative functions.
• Serve as secondary agency representative to residents.
• Perform cleaning of building as needed on days when contract cleaners are not scheduled.
• Perform light grounds maintenance.
• Perform required light maintenance.

Typical Qualifications

Minimum required: Must live on-site Preferred qualifications: Cleaning, housekeeping or light custodial experience Knowledge of:

• Maintenance methods, tools, and materials.
• Commercial cleaning practices
• Skill and ability in performing required maintenance duties.

Ability to:

• Operate appliances and light equipment (i.e., vacuums, snow blowers, lawnmowers, etc.)
• Evaluate maintenance problems and take appropriate action.
• Perform moderate lifting and other physical activity as associated with light maintenance duties.
• Organize workload, set priorities, and work independently.
• Communicate orally and in writing.
