We're seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers for full-time positions serving either middle or high school students near West Chester, PA. Start the school year strong with an engaging assignment from August 19th through June 3rd, working Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM.
Your expertise and commitment will directly impact students as you collaborate with an inclusive team passionate about student growth and success. Bring your specialized skills to a setting that values your role and supports your professional journey.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification
- Up-to-date Pennsylvania background clearances
- Experience working with middle or high school students preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
What you’ll do:
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized lesson plans to meet each student’s needs
- Assess students’ progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate closely with general educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, documentation, and student support planning
- Maintain a safe and encouraging classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
