Job Description

Pharmacist

BlueSky Pharmacy LLC is a Long-term Care pharmacy in Gretna, NE. BlueSky Pharmacy is committed to ensuring safe, effective, and compliant medication therapy for residents in long-term care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve drug-related problems, including interactions, duplications, contraindications, and inappropriate dosing.
• Provide clinical recommendations to prescribers and facility staff to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Verify prescriptions and ensure accurate dispensing.

• Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff, prescribers, and facility administrators.
• Communicate recommendations clearly and professionally to interdisciplinary teams.

• Assist with formulary management and cost-effective medication use strategies.
• Support pharmacy technicians and other staff as needed.

Pharmacy Hours

• Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Weekends as needed
• Occasional rotating on call

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist (PharmD Preferred)
• LTC experience preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in medication reconciliation and MAR documentation
• Experience training and mentoring pharmacy staff
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

• May involve standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Exposure to confidential patient information; HIPAA compliance required
