We believe that a variety of backgrounds makes our team stronger and more innovative**At Air Liquide, we RESPECT, HONOR and VALUE diversity.****Air Liquide is hiring for a Project Engineer in Houston, TX!*****We are looking for you!**** Work Schedule - Monday - Friday* Referral Bonus* Comprehensive Family Benefits: Air Liquide offers a full benefits package designed to support your whole life, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance.* Support for Parents: We offer a 14-week paid child birth benefit to support growing families.* Future Security: 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick time.* Early Access: Your benefits start after day 1**Join our dynamic team at Air Liquide as a Project Engineer where you will** **Lead, Organize, perform and ensure all the design and technical activities of a project follow the - contractual requirements :**■ Within the related company departments & disciplines; ■ Between the Project and Client; ■ Between the Project and supplier/Sub-contractors;## ## Job Duties:● Promoting safety within the company; meeting or advancing the company’s safety standards.● Coordinating the assigned engineering resources, either with local and/or with remote international team members and peers .● Fostering collaboration and alignment between disciplines as well as engineering contractors.● Facilitating weekly meetings with different engineering parties; issuing minutes of meetings; and following up on action items.● Demonstrating an interdisciplinary mindset including but not limited to Civil, Structural, Mechanical (static and rotating), Piping, Process, Process Control, Systems, Electrical and Instrumentation engineering.● Fostering the timely delivery of engineering deliverables as per project schedule; informing the project scheduler and PM of the status of each deliverable, risk of delays and recovery plans; weekly expediting of the different engineering disciplines.● Securing the quality of the deliverables; verifying that the engineering deliverables and Basis of Design are compliant with the E&C Global standards and with the US and local codes .● Supporting the Proposal team and supporting the review of the Basis of Design.● Preparing the Technical Requisition Summary for procurement and guiding the technical clarifications with material/equipment suppliers.● Supporting the procurement team in expediting the Vendor Documentation Records and providing technical support and review during the manufacturing period.● Maintaining a supportive log of pending actions / open topics (from minutes) ● Implementing Document Control practices and tools (Alair, G-drive) for technical project documents● Maintaining a record of engineering capitalization points● Ensuring the project execution plan is followed and assist in maintaining and updating the plan.● Identifying, tracking and mitigating the impact of any changes generated after the signature of the project; building alignment on the approval of these changes and expediting resolution.● Supporting technical Design Reviews and facilitating project gate review meetings according to Air Liquide standards, including inviting, planning and issuing meeting minutes.● Interfacing with Design Authorities and the Overall Design Authority.● Support Fabrication, and Construction by coordinating resolution of technical issues.● Collaborative change management approach including commercial awareness.## \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_## ## Are you a MATCH?**Required Qualifications:*****●*** B.S. degree in Engineering required (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)● 3+ years of experience in Project Engineering role within related Industrial Design or operations● Proficient with Google workspace and MS Office● Ability to travel to various job sites on short notice**Preferred Qualifications:**● Basic knowledge of Engineering in all disciplines and process● Experience in Project Management and Customer relationships● Site experience (Construction or Commissioning)● Second language (French or German) preferred● Project Management certification (PMI/PMP) preferred**WORK CONDITIONS:**Office Environment with occasional business trips
