Registered Nurse

Position in Oncology Infusion. Shift time is 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirement includes working every third weekend. On-call duties are not required. Patients may be assigned a ratio of 5.5 on nights. Potential floating within the facility or to an affiliate hospital. Duties include administering chemotherapy and blood products. Skills needed include managing ports and assessing patient needs. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Candidates must have knowledge of administering medications, inclusive of antibiotics and pain management. An understanding of oncology patient care is essential. The unit also accommodates hospice and comfort care patients. Daily census on the unit averages 20 patients. Support staff includes teams for therapy and pharmacy, among others. Compliance with state background checks and fingerprinting is a requirement. Candidates must comply with all facility guidelines during employment.
