TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Saint Paul, Minnesota, 55102!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in specialty required. License: Valid state license preferred. Certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required. Must-Have: Experience with Epic charting system required. Description: Position in the Oncology Infusion specialty. Shift time is from 1900 to 0730. First-timers are accepted. Weekend requirement is to work every third weekend. No on-call requirement for this position. Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs as needed. This is not open to local candidates within a 100-mile radius. Ideally, no more than five days of requested time off (RTO). Client may cancel up to three shifts with no penalty. On-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum hours. Patient ratios for days are approximately 3.5 patients per nurse. Nights have a patient ratio of 5.5. Unit caters to adult patients. Daily census is around 20. Unit specializes in inpatient oncology care, including hospice and comfort care. Interdisciplinary support is available including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy. Requires skills in administering chemotherapy, blood products, and managing ports. Candidate should be proficient in managing symptoms related to oncology treatments. Essential to provide patient and family education and support. Able to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values and handle medical emergencies. Ability to administer medications including IV push and oncology-related treatments required. Experience with care coordination and managing treatment plans for patients in various stages of cancer also required.
