Because every home sits on a different piece of dirt, every plan has to be adapted to that specific lot. This Architectural Drafter owns that work. They take plan requests from the field, modify plans for the lot, and release them in time to protect the start date. This is a production seat, not a design seat. The person who thrives here is energized by throughput, accuracy, and hitting deadlines.

Mindset of a Top Architectural Drafter

• You Draft With Intention. Every modification has to work in the real world, not just look right on screen.
• You Treat the Field as the Customer. When a Construction Leader calls with a plan question, you solve it; you don't route it. Same-day answers aren't a courtesy; they're the standard.
• You Sweat the Details. You know that every detail in a plan eventually becomes someone's home. That's not a responsibility you take lightly.
• You Move Fast Without Cutting Corners. You have a "Do It Now" mindset — you keep the queue moving, communicate proactively, and hit every release date without compromising accuracy.
• You Own the Date. You raise risk early rather than explaining a miss after the fact. Protecting the construction start date is the whole job.

Playbook for Success:

• Take lot-specific plan requests from the field and turn them around fast — site adaptations, foundation and grade changes, elevation swaps, option placement, and structural coordination
• Self-check every plan set against the release standard before it leaves your queue, protecting every construction start date
• Achieve full cross-functional alignment with Sales, Land Development, Finance, Lead Designer, Design Specialist Leader, and Head of Purchasing/Estimating/Drafting on every plan release

Your Competitive Edge:

• 3+ years residential drafting experience
• Strong understanding of buildability, structural options, and land constraints
• Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills across diverse teams
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment
• "Do It Now" mindset — you move fast, communicate clearly, and deliver
