Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using standardized assessments along with observational analysis.
• Create individualized treatment strategies aimed at achieving both short-term milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language enhancement, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified care plans.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families, fostering progress beyond clinical settings.
• Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuity of care throughout their treatment journey.
• Keep accurate, timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain aligned with industry advancements and practices through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA-certified status is not obtained yet.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment commencement.
