Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both adult and pediatric emergency care, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister patient care in the Emergency Room, managing a diverse patient population.Perform initial assessments, triage patients, and develop care plans.Float as required between adult and pediatric ER departments.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and mid-level providers.Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology as needed.Conduct basic EKG interpretation and participate in critical care assessments as part of the team.Handle emergency situations promptly, effectively, and professionally.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of emergency room experience required.Significant experience in pediatric emergency care is required.Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.Ability to manage multiple patients during high-volume periods.Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.Work EnvironmentThe Emergency Room consists of different treatment areas, including adult and pediatric sections, with a total of approximately 36 adult treatment areas and 12 pediatric treatment areas, as well as additional fast track pods. The ER sees around 325 patient visits daily, covering a broad range of medical conditions, from minor emergencies to critically ill patients.Additional InformationShifts available: 12-hour shifts.Participation in holiday scheduling is expected.Transport and phlebotomy support are available within the unit.LocationThis position is located in a bustling urban environment, specifically in a facility situated in the heart of [City, State].We value teamwork, compassion, and dedication to patient care and look forward to welcoming a new member to our skilled ER nursing team.
