Job Description
We are looking for a billing specialist to join our team. We are a downtown Nashville law firm focused on complex commercial, healthcare liability, and employment litigation and commercial real estate lending and development. We value professionalism, integrity, and exceptional client service.
\n \nThe Legal Billing Specialist ensures accurate, timely invoicing, billing compliance, client communication, and discrepancy resolution in coordination with attorneys and staff.
\n \nResponsibilities:
\n- \n
- Review time entries and expenses for accuracy and compliance \n
- Prepare and process invoices \n
- Resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries with attorneys and staff \n
- Handle client billing matters professionally \n
- Support month-end reconciliation and reporting \n
- Maintain knowledge of billing practices and regulations \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- 3+ years of legal billing or related experience \n
- Proficiency in ABA UTBMS Codes, LEDES1998B, and legal billing formats \n
- Accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills \n
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines \n
- Legal terminology and billing guideline knowledge preferred \n
