Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

***This posting is open to candidates located in either Romania or San Jose, CA. Manager strongly prefers Romania-based candidates but is open to a candidate local to San Jose if they are a great fit - must be able to work 3 days in the San Jose office. Romania-based candidate will be 100% remote. Please target a bill rate of ***/hour for Romania-based candidates, ***/hour for San Jose-based candidates.
Romania candidate will be working entirely via virtual desktop, no laptop. San Jose candidate will receive a laptop.***
Support the Tagetik EPM implementation by participating in business process design, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system validation, issue resolution, and post-deployment stabilization.
Validate accounting results and system configurations to ensure they align with business requirements and US GAAP.
Collaborate with Finance, IT, and external implementation partners to troubleshoot system and process issues.
Monitor intercompany journal entries in SAP and supporting systems.
Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Maintain and communicate foreign exchange rates in accounting systems to support proper revaluation, translation, and consolidation.
Prepare and maintain documentation for intercompany, consolidation, and financial reporting processes.
Support quarterly and annual external reporting activities by preparing consolidation schedules and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support SOX compliance activities.
Support management reporting, statutory reporting, and other special accounting projects as needed. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including intercompany accounting, foreign currency accounting, consolidation, and topside journal entries.
Experience working with multiple legal entities and multinational corporate structures.
Hands-on experience supporting ERP, EPM, or financial systems implementations, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business process testing, and system validation.
Strong systems aptitude with the ability to understand end-to-end accounting processes, validate system configurations, identify system issues, and work effectively with Finance and IT teams.
Experience with Tagetik, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Group Reporting, or other consolidation/EPM platforms is strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
