DescriptionPosition at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.SEWS—El Paso Customer Service Center (Eastside)Job Title Supply Chain Analyst IIWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automotive Supply Chain Analyst to join our dynamic automotive team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and Finished Goods from manufacturing facilities to our customers, supporting production schedules, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive supply chain processes, excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and the capacity to collaborate across various departmentsJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcess Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and impelement process improvements and cost saving initiatives.Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to measure supply chain performance. Conduct root cause analysis and utilize historical data, market trends, and statistical models to forecast demand accurately for future model years and upcoming new build eventsContinuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service levels. Continuously train and develop the SEWS Team with the knowledge and understanding of all customersPerformance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on supply chain performanceIdentify and evaluate opportunities for supply chain optimization, including transportation, inventory, and warehouse management.Following up with customers to ensure their satisfactionStay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in supply chain managementResponds to and provides solutions for customer’s complaints through the creation of 8D, STR or customer specific corrective action reportsAnalyze and interpret customer scorecards to evaluate supply chain performance, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement Program Management activities related to internal/external costs, production problems, delivery & performance ratings, MMOG activities and corrective action requests.QualificationsWork Experience: 3-5 years minimum experience in supply chain or analytics role, with a proven track record of achieving performance targets.Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Skills/Certifications: English fluency required. Spanish reading, typing, and speaking proficiency required.Proficient Microsoft Applications (Excel - formulas a plus, Access, power point, word) skills required.Excellent oral and written communication skills required.Must be able to perform in a stressful environment.Sequential manufacturing / scheduling / international business / import experience preferredFORD system, FCA esupplierconnect portal, Tesla portal, BaseCamp experience preferred.Others: Knowledge of the effective manufacture and distribution of finished goods, primarily on Automotive industry.
