About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience required License: Virginia nursing license pending accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required, can submit with TNCC pending but must have before start Must-Have: 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience or 2 years of Level 2 trauma experience. Pediatric experience is required, but it does not have to be from a dedicated pediatric ER. Description: This position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in a highly demanding environment. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Scheduling days will vary based on staffing needs. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. Every other holiday is required. Candidates must have prior charge experience along with charting experience, specifically with the Epic system. Candidates will need experience with trauma-level care IV, and should have experience managing pediatrics. The daily census can reach up to 165 patients. The role requires providing care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available from various departments. Candidates must be able to float within their scope of practice as needed. This position does not permit additional time off after the offer acceptance. All candidates must meet the listed experience requirements and have their license ready by the start date. References are required. All certifications must be provided with the application. Background checks will be processed before employment begins. Candidates should disclose any known issues that may affect compliance. Education: BSN preferred.
