Job OpportunityWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bilingual (Spanish & English) Referral Coordinator / Patient Care Coordinator to join our primary care doctor's office in MetroWest Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient referrals, coordinating appointments with specialists, and ensuring smooth communication between our office, patients, and other healthcare providers. The Referral Coordinator will play a crucial role in our healthcare team by facilitating patient referrals and managing the referral process from start to finish. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.Key Responsibilities:Process and manage patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providersSchedule appointments with specialists and provide patients with necessary informationVerify patient insurance information and obtain prior authorizations when requiredMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelinesCommunicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to coordinate careTrack and follow up on referrals to ensure timely completion and patient satisfactionAssist patients in resolving issues related to referrals, such as transportation or financial concernsCollaborate with the healthcare team to ensure proper documentation and follow-up on referralsRequirements:High school diploma required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferredPrevious experience in healthcare administration or as a referral coordinator is highly desirableStrong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance proceduresExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office suiteAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsCustomer service-oriented with a professional and empathetic demeanorBenefits:Weekly PayPTO
