PATIENT ACCOUNTS SPECIALIST-GOVERNMENT BILLING

Responsibilities The Western Region Consolidated Business Office delivers comprehensive insurance revenue services to our affiliated UHS facilities, encompassing billing, collections, cash posting, pre‑access management, variance analysis, and customer service. Patient Account Specialist – Government Billing Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM Responsible for the maintenance and processing of patient accounts. Gather information for proper billing, collections and follow‑up for government payers. Conduct appropriate account activity and overcome barriers to assure timely payment. Understand managed care contracts and reimbursement procedures. Qualifications Experience: 1–3 years government medical insurance experience in a medical setting. Education: High School or equivalent. Billing/Collections coding education a plus. Demonstrated knowledge of government medical insurance billing. Reimbursement and medical claims experience.
