Mac Support Associate

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Mac Support Associate for our client, a rapidly growing healthcare technology company in New York City! This is a 3-6-month contract opportunity (with strong potential for permanent conversion) offering a hybrid schedule (3 days/wk onsite). RESPONSIBILITIES Provide L1/L2 technical support for end users, with a strong focus on Mac/macOS environments Troubleshoot and resolve Mac hardware, macOS, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot MacBooks and other Apple devices Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, including device provisioning/deprovisioning, account setup, application access, and equipment recovery Administer and support Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, and Zoom Manage Mac devices through JAMF and support endpoint configuration, policies, applications, and security controls Resolve tickets through the ticketing platform and provide hands‑on support through Slack Maintain accurate IT inventory, asset tracking, and hardware lifecycle management Support Zoom Rooms, conference room AV, and other workplace technology Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, and connectivity Document technical issues, solutions, and IT procedures to improve the overall support experience QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of IT Support or Service Desk experience Strong hands‑on experience supporting Mac/macOS users and Apple hardware Experience troubleshooting and deploying MacBooks in a business environment Experience with JAMF or another Apple device management platform strongly preferred Startup or MSP experience a plus Experience administering Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, and Zoom Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as Jamf or Intune Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to systematically diagnose unfamiliar problems Excellent communication and customer service skills with a hands‑on, user‑focused approach Preferred: Okta/JAMF certifications, UniFi experience, automation/scripting experience, and exposure to SOC 2 and/or HIPAA environments Key Requirement: Candidates should have meaningful professional experience supporting Mac/macOS environments . General IT support experience without hands‑on Apple/Mac support experience will not be sufficient for this role. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This contract position offers an hourly rate of $40-55/hr, commensurate with experience.
