Responsibilities Provide high-quality general veterinary care to companion animals and pocket pets. Perform comprehensive wellness and preventive healthcare examinations. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans. Manage a varied outpatient appointment caseload. Perform routine surgical procedures according to experience and clinical ability. Develop surgical skills through structured mentorship and clinical support . Utilize ultrasound and other diagnostic resources where clinically appropriate. Incorporate therapeutic laser treatment when indicated. Provide appropriate care to pocket pet patients according to experience and interest. Build strong, relationship-based connections with clients and their pets. Communicate diagnoses and treatment recommendations clearly and compassionately. Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, support staff, and practice leadership. Support the continued development of veterinary support team members. Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records. Participate in continuing education and professional development. Candidate Profile Candidates should hold a DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school , or have successfully completed the appropriate ECFVG or PAVE veterinary equivalency pathway. Applicants should possess, or be eligible to obtain, an active veterinary license in Georgia .
