Lead Plumber

Lead Plumber S&S Heating and Air Conditioning Broomall, PA | Full-time | $30-$38 per hour, based on experience S&S Heating and Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced Lead Plumber who can take ownership of residential construction and renovation projects, confidently lay out plumbing rough-ins, and direct a helper in the field. This role is ideal for a skilled plumber who doesn't need to be micromanaged and can be trusted to make sound decisions, maintain quality standards, and keep the work moving. What You’ll Do Lead and perform plumbing installations for residential construction and renovation projects Take ownership of assigned plumbing projects from start to completion Lay out plumbing rough-ins accurately according to plans and project requirements Install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures Perform plumbing work for new construction, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, and remodeling projects Read and interpret plans, layouts, and job specifications Direct and work alongside a helper to complete assigned projects Ensure work is completed correctly, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes Identify potential issues before they become problems and communicate them to management Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite Represent S&S professionally with customers, teammates, and other contractors Maintain high standards for quality workmanship and jobsite professionalism What We’re Looking For Strong hands‑on plumbing experience Journeyman‑level or senior plumbing experience preferred Experience with residential construction and renovation plumbing Ability to independently perform quality plumbing work Strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation practices Ability to lay out plumbing rough-ins Ability to read and interpret plans and job specifications Experience directing or working with a helper Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong work ethic and personal accountability Pride in workmanship and attention to detail Professional attitude and ability to represent the company well Valid driver’s license A current plumbing license, relevant trade‑school training, or other plumbing credentials is a plus. Tools & Equipment Employees provide their own standard hand tools S&S provides larger specialty tools and equipment, including SDS tools, drain cleaners, cameras, and other large equipment Company vehicle provided for Lead Plumbers What Matters Most We’re looking for more than someone who can turn a wrench.
