This per diem pharmacist position offers a rewarding opportunity to support an independent retail pharmacy in Alabaster, AL. Working 1 to 2 days per week during daytime hours, you will provide professional pharmaceutical services in a close-knit environment that handles an average of 180 to 200 prescriptions daily.

Location: Alabaster, AL
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 1 to 2 days per week, ongoing

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispensing prescription medications and counseling patients
• Managing prescription entry and verification using Quick Script software
• Overseeing daily pharmacy operations alongside pharmacy technicians and cashiers
• Ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and safety standards in pharmacy practice
• Providing expert advice to patients on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions

Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama pharmacist license required
• Pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings strongly desired
• Ability to work independently in a small team environment
