Mechanical Project Manager

Project ManagerWe're partnering with a well-established, employee-owned mechanical contractor that's continuing to grow its Southern California operations and looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its team.This role offers the opportunity to manage large-scale commercial, healthcare, and industrial construction projects while working alongside experienced preconstruction, engineering, and field teams. The company has a strong project pipeline, providing long-term stability and opportunities for continued growth.We're seeking candidates with a commercial mechanical construction background and experience managing HVAC and/or plumbing projects.Key ResponsibilitiesManage commercial HVAC and/or plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeoutOversee project budgets, forecasting, schedules, and cost controlCoordinate with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and field teamsManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and contract administrationReview construction drawings, specifications, and project scopesWork closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain project schedules and quality standardsOversee subcontractor coordination, material deliveries, and project milestonesLead project meetings and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholdersIdentify project risks, resolve construction challenges, and support value engineeringSupport quality control, inspections, and project closeoutRequirements5+ years of commercial mechanical construction experience preferredProject management experience with a mechanical contractor or specialty subcontractorCommercial HVAC and/or plumbing construction experience requiredStrong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and cost controlExperience managing procurement, subcontractors, change orders, and project documentationAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and contractsExperience with healthcare, industrial, institutional, or other large-scale commercial projects preferredFamiliarity with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction software preferredStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experienceCompensation & BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid holidays, sick leave, and vacationTraining, mentorship, and career advancement opportunitiesOpportunity to manage large-scale commercial and healthcare projects
