Sr Electronic Design Engineer

Job Title: Sr Electronic Design Engineer Reporting To: Management, Systems Engineering Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Responsibilities Drive the development of the control electronics at the heart of our system solutions Influence the development of new product requirements through consulting with customers, our business development team and across engineering disciplines Guide the evolution of the conceptual and detailed design phases through verification and certification Lead and perform prototype testing, integration testing, and design verification and validation testing Create detailed Verification and Validation plans and procedures for the testing of control electronics Investigate and create new test methods and approaches Serve as a technical reference point for internal and external communications Support various aspects of technical project planning, including designs, proposals, cost estimates, schedules and technical interface meetings throughout the program lifecycle Prepare, organize, and make presentations to internal and external customers in support of design reviews, technical interface meetings and business development Perform trade studies and analyses to validate conceptual designs Foster design reviews, validating adherence to internal standards Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its leading‑edge technical reputation Mentor and coach engineers within the electronics team to build capability and technical depth Qualifications BS Degree in Electrical Engineering 10+ years of design and development engineering work experience Strong hands‑on mindset Significant knowledge of engineering fundamentals Motor Control Electronics experience Power Electronics experience Team‑oriented mindset, with the desire to lead and contribute to a high‑functioning team Self‑motivated approach, with strong critical thinking and analytical skills Proficient communication skills, both in writing technical documentation and in public speaking presentations The ability to manage competing priorities of multiple stakeholders Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance Ability to work onsite in Elma, NY (remote candidates will not be considered) Preferred Qualifications MS Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience in the Aerospace industry Experience with military standards (MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑810); RTCA/DO‑254, and RTCA/DO‑160 standards Radiation‑Hardened electronics experience Familiarity with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods, tools, and processes Familiarity with embedded systems/firmware and software development Current security clearance Benefits Financial Rewards: great compensation package, annual profit sharing, matching 401k and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts Work/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan and other supplemental benefit coverages Professional Skills Development: Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other personal growth programs Collaborative and Welcoming Workplace: Inclusive culture rooted in our values, enhanced by Employee Resource Groups, and team‑building activities Salary Range: Buffalo, NY $93,000.00–$140,000.00 Annually Position requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
