Service Technician

Zimmer Biomet seeks a Service Technician to repair and troubleshoot medical electro-mechanical equipment in Abilene, Texas. The role involves diagnostics, component replacement, customer interaction, and documentation of repairs while adhering to GMP and FDA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform tests on medical devices using technical manuals
- Replace faulty components and repair manufacturing equipment with hand tools
- Document repair results and maintain accurate device history files in approved systems
- Communicate repair details to customers via written correspondence and phone support
- Train other technicians on repair procedures and standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years troubleshooting experience with electronic test equipment and multimeters
- Proficiency in soldering techniques and hand tool usage
- Component-level troubleshooting and electrical diagnostics skills
- Knowledge of GMP and FDA compliance requirements
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds regularly
Compensation: $55,000-$60,000 base plus annual bonus
