This role involves providing advanced heart care to a diverse patient population. The nurse will care for patients with various cardiovascular diagnoses, including congestive heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias. Close monitoring and management of patients post-cath lab procedures will be a primary responsibility. Nurses will also provide care for patients prior to LVAD placements or heart/lung transplants. Candidates must be prepared for potential precepting of students during their assignment. Charge nurse responsibilities may be required, with appropriate training provided. All travelers must be willing to work weekends as per unit needs. Refusal to float may lead to termination of the contract.
