Responsibilities:

• Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement, and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists.
• Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on thorough assessment of potential development, with participation by significant others when appropriate.
• Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care and directs support staff to achieve patients functional goals.
• Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans; updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signatures.
• Provides direction and leadership to staff and acts as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community.
• Works in a physically demanding, high-stress environment requiring handling, lifting, and transferring of patients.
• May work irregular hours, including call hours if applicable.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
• Current, unrestricted PT license valid for the state of work.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a healthcare facility.
• Ability and willingness to travel within branch/office coverage area.
• Must have dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients.
