Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

This role focuses on high-precision TIG welding for aerospace and defense applications, producing aerospace-quality welds on heat pipes and cooling devices used in satellites and other advanced systems. You will set up and operate manual TIG welding equipment, work with a variety of alloys, and consistently meet production goals while maintaining strict quality and documentation standards on an afternoon/evening shift.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), technical school diploma, or equivalent relevant work experience preferred.
• Approximately 5+ years of related TIG welding experience and/or training preferred, ideally in a production environment.
• Demonstrated skill as a TIG welder with a strong interest in high-level, quality-focused welding for aerospace and defense applications.
• Experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, copper nickel, copper, and a variety of other alloys.
• Ability to successfully pass weld examinations and qualification tests, including aerospace-related certifications, as required.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating manual welding machines and adjusting parameters to achieve required weld quality.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions, and to work to defined tolerances.
• Proficient use of micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a high degree of attention to detail and a focus on precision work.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to set up and operate welding processes and interpret measurements.
• Comfort with detailed documentation, including tracking process steps, recording setups, and completing production paperwork accurately.
• Ability to multitask and maintain high performance and quality standards in a repetitive, goal-driven production environment.
• Willingness and ability to be cross-trained and work in different areas of the manufacturing facility as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and support shared production goals.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required by production demands.
• Ability to pass required eye examinations related to precision and inspection tasks.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lancaster, PA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lancaster,PA.
