Medical Billing Specialist - Data Entry / Verifications

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities And Position Qualifications Sonic Healthcare USA is looking for a highly organized and detail‑oriented individual to handle patient specimen data entry, billing, insurance verification, and customer service. The role supports the Accounts Receivable team and occasionally backs up Customer Service Representatives. Location and Schedule 250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801 Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Full‑time) Compensation Hourly rate: $17‑$19/hr. Benefit eligible. Key Responsibilities Enter patient information into the Billing System in a timely and accurate manner. Verify eligibility with insurance carriers and contact providers as needed. Navigate insurance websites, read EOBs, and answer insurance questions. Follow the Q&A process for unbilled claims and correct errors. Back‑up Customer Service Rep. Answer inbound patient calls regarding bills and take payments. Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent. Medical Billing Certification (preferred). Strong typing skills (required).
