EHS Specialist

EHS SpecialistUS Farathane is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to oversee EHS activities at our Austin, TX manufacturing facility. The EHS Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting the EHS function at the plant level. Essential duties and responsibilities include following, enforcing, and communicating all internal and OSHA required safety procedures. The EHS Specialist will coordinate the safety program including written programs, training, inspections, and committee activities to ensure that local and federal requirements are met. They will investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and come up with corrective/preventative actions. The EHS Specialist will provide support to the plant for environmental, health, and safety questions/concerns. They will report to the management team on the status of the environmental management system, including environmental compliance, system audits, and corrective action plans. The EHS Specialist will lead workers compensation claims, including paperwork and communications with injured employees and TPA/insurer. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Five plus years of experience in an EHS role. Previous work experience in a plastic injection molding environment preferred.
