Cardiology Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified Cardiologist for a long-term locum opportunity in Northern New York. The client is seeking one physician able to provide consistent coverage 3 weeks per month for a 6 9 month assignment.

Assignment Details

• Start: ASAP (anticipated early August after credentialing)
• Assignment Length: 6 9 months
• Consistent coverage preferred
• One provider covering 3 weeks/month strongly preferred

Schedule

• Monday Thursday
• 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Coverage required 3 weeks per month

Call Coverage

• Night call as needed
• 4:00 PM 8:00 AM
• Used primarily to fill coverage gaps

Practice Setting

• General Cardiology
• Acute Care Hospital + Outpatient Clinic
• Solo physician practice environment
• Epic EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

• Outpatient cardiology clinic
• Hospital consults service coverage
• Stress test supervision
• General cardiology evaluations and follow-up care

Additional Clinical Preferences

• Nuclear stress test interpretation preferred
• Cardiac imaging interpretation experience preferred
• Board certification for cardiac imaging studies preferred but not required

Support Structure

• APP support available initially
• Independent practice environment
• Mix of clinic and hospital responsibilities

Requirements

• Board Certified Cardiologist
• Active New York license required
• Epic experience required
• AHA or RQI certifications required
• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Clean, updated work history required

Credentialing

• Standard credentialing process
• Orientation required
