POSITION SUMMARY

The Intake Manager - Bridge (IM) oversees the intake process for the Bridge program and ensures that the Intake Team or designated staff are fully onboarded and trained on policies/procedures for Denver Rescue Mission’s Intake. Intake serves as the initial point of contact for individuals experiencing homelessness. Being mindful of behavioral health issues, this position provides guidance to staff in proper crisis response engagement and appropriate placement for guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

General Duties

• Advances the mission of the Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) through the delivery of healthy, safe and engaging facility environments.
• Fosters a culture of grace amongst staff that orients them around the mission of meeting individuals at their physical and spiritual points of need. 
• Manages contract compliance at programs functioning as a liaison between the funding source and Admissions to DRM.
• Initiates and maintains good relations with all DRM departments. 
• Maintains the relationships necessary to ensure DRM’s programming efforts (clinical and case management) reflect a real-time understanding of broader re-housing efforts, availability, requirements, etc. 

Intake and Diversion  

• Oversees and performs intake processes to ensure that households accessing services at DRM are properly assessed in accordance with Intake SOPs.
• Manages intake processes, assessment creation and administration, and inter-role data analytics to align with contract and/or regulatory requirements. 
• In cooperation with community partners, assesses referrals to determine if they are appropriate for intake into DRM provided programs or referred elsewhere. Works directly with community partners to educate about DRM program offerings and goodness of fit/eligibility standards, intake procedures, and provides appropriate resources and referrals when intake is not appropriate.
• Stays up to date with the DRM programs and Rapid Resolution tools/resources in the community to assist in the successful referrals of guests entering Programs.
• Educates Participant/Guests on Program structure, expectations and processes. 
• Provides appropriate referrals for Participants/Guests to DRM Programs, shelter, overflow shelters or other appropriate community resources to meet current needs based on cognitive/mental/physical ability.
• Educates participants on benefit and process of receiving case management and other programmatic supports.
• Completes all intake, tracking, and ongoing workflows within the SCRIBE and/or Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
• Emails appropriate staff regarding intake, caseload assignments, and move-ins.
• Provides tours and leads groups as needed. 

Supervision of Staff

• Assists the Director with recruiting, interviewing, hiring; Supervises onboarding, training, resolving conflict, payroll, scheduling and time off to provide appropriate coverage, and quarterly reviews for staff on the Intake - Bridge team.
• Supervises the Intake – Bridge team to meet the needs of the program through established processes and procedures. 

Other  

• Convenes weekly meetings with key staff members that promote collaboration, teamwork, and personal accountability. 
• Represents the Mission at meetings and on committees as directed. 
• Communicates with the public through speaking engagements, community meetings, and interviews, as assigned by supervisor. 
• Performs other tasks, participates in project management teams, and completes additional duties as assigned. 
• Gathers and reports data as directed. 
• Supports other Programs staff as required. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent work experience in a human services field required; Master’s preferred.
• One year of experience providing case management or other related interaction with those experiencing homelessness.
• A combination of education and experience can be substituted.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of hire date.
• A high-level of computer/database knowledge, preferably with HMIS.
• Strong computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft 365: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. 
• Attention to detail and strong ability in handling administrative tasks.
• Must possess a heart for ministry to low-income population. 
• Must be trauma informed and capable of de-escalating.
• Must be willing to work a variable schedule to include some nights and weekends to meet with guests during shelter hours.
• Active Driver’s License as a limited amount of work-related travel may be required.
• Ability to be an approved driver by Denver Rescue Mission.
• Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith, expressed by a personal testimony and Christian conduct.
