JOB SUMMARY

The Program Manager for Epilepsy engages in programmatic planning and implementation strategies, coordinates and collaborates patient care between clinic and hospital personnel in regards to patient education and throughput, facilitates collaboration with providers to ensure all aspects of care are to program specifications and communicated accordingly, and ensures compliance with all accreditation bodies for both inpatient and outpatient services.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION – REQUIRED

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience: 3–5 years of experience in nursing Licenses and Certifications: Current Texas nursing licensure (NLC NURSING LICENSURE COMPACT – BNE) upon hire

JOB DUTIES

Assure continuous compliance with CMS, state, accreditation, and other regulatory standards; oversee policy and procedure compliance for the program. Recommend and implement educational efforts for orientation and in‑services as needed. Participate in strategic planning for the service line and support UTSW and the program’s goals. Lead and direct quality care delivery to the program’s patient population, develop policies and procedures, analyze data, and coordinate practice changes. Coordinate educational opportunities for staff, physicians, patients, external providers, and the community; identify nursing research opportunities. Work with leadership to ensure accurate documentation, report outcomes, and present data for improvement recommendations. Draft policies and procedures, serve as program liaison, and participate in quality improvement and educational activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
