Industrial Maintenance Mechanic needed in the N. Dallas I35 & Walnut Hill area!

Pay : $27 - $32 (DOE)

Schedule:

Tuesday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30 pm 30 minute lunch break

Saturday 6am - 2pm lunchbreak optional

Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and facility equipment while also supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory control, and receiving. This dual-role position requires a hands-on, detail oriented individual with strong organizational and mechanical skills.

Key Responsibilities / Maintenance and Repair

 Perform preventive maintenance and repair on production, warehouse, and facility equipment (e.g., extruders, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electric motors and gear boxes, conveyors, forklifts, compressors, etc.).

 Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.

 Install, adjust, and replace machine parts as needed.

 Maintain records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs completed.

 Support facility upkeep, including lighting, plumbing, and general repairs.

 Assist in the development and execution of maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

 Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.

Warehouse Operations

 Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, parts, and supplies.

 Maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS).

 Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.

 Assist in regular cycle counts and inventory audits.

 Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas in compliance with company and OSHA standards.

 Banding finished goods & scrap  Coordinate logistics with internal departments as needed.

 Crosstrain to work on Production line when needed.

Qualifications

 High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.

 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.

 Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tools, machinery, and maintenance practices.

 Proficient in operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).

 Basic computer skills; experience with ERP systems preferred.

 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

 Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

 Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Work Environment:

 Manufacturing environment.

 May require occasional overtime or weekend work based on production schedules.

 Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
