Set in the heart of downtown Nashville, Chief's brings together music, design, and culinary offerings for an unmatched entertainment experience in Music City. The first floor houses a broadcast studio, home to Church's Outsiders Radio on SiriusXM, with the capability to host programming from a range of media partners. Food and drink are available throughout the venue, along with a new street-facing frozen Greek yogurt walk-up window from Nashville-based Culture Club. The third and fourth floors hold a ticketed live music venue that has hosted residencies from Eric Church, among others. Duties also include knowledge of all liquor, wine, and beer served in the venue and ensuring that knowledge can elevate the guest experience while maximizing beverage sales. Bartenders at all times are to set an example of hospitality and service while assuming full responsibility for day-to-day bar service, maintenance, cleanliness and organization. Tasks include, but are not limited to:Maximize sales by recommending items and upselling, using extensive working knowledge of all food and beverage offeringsUse extensive menu knowledge to communicate effectively with guests on ingredients, preparation methods, and allergensFollow all Steps of Service and brand standardsCreate a hospitable, welcoming, and memorable experience for all guestsEnsure all Federal, State and City laws and ordinances are followed with regards to the handling and responsible sale of alcoholic beveragesProper handling of cash, credit cards and end of shift financial reportingServe all alcohol in proper containers and adhere to all pricingServe all food in proper containers and adhere to all pricingAttend trainings as mandated by the Leadership teamMaintain a well-groomed, professional, and polished appearanceKeep working knowledge of Chief's brand, history, culture, and programmingNavigate venue conditions, including tight spaces, dark rooms, and loud environmentEnsure all spaces are set according to plansMaintain daily inventories behind all bars at both the beginning and end of shiftMaintain an organized and clean workspaceEnsure that work areas are properly supplied for operational successMaintain positive guest engagement and create memorable experiencesTake initiative, follow-through on requests until completion, and utilize a keen attention to detailPerform other related duties as assigned by the Leadership team YOUR QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 21 years of agePrior bartending experience in a nightclub settingProven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented restaurant/bar/venue environmentExtensive knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktailsMust have a valid TABC cardExceptional guest service and hospitality skillsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethicExcellent interpersonal skills; able to work both as a team and independentlyMust be able to communicate in English with guests and other team membersMust have the ability to withstand high temperatures, heat and sunMust adhere to both company and department specific policies and proceduresEmbrace company culture and take pride in the venue and amenities Ability to take direction, and communicate effectively and professionallyAbility to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift loads of up to 50 lbs.Able to work rapidly, especially during peak periods to ensure that all guests are being serviced properly and necessary operational tasks are being completed in a timely mannerAbility to sustain loud noise volume WHO YOU AREWe are seeking a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced but disciplined environment.
