Lube Technician

Lube Technician Classification Non-ExemptThe Lube Technician is responsible for various Bay Duties. They will move the vehicle in/out of the bay area safely. Technician performs visual inspection while draining oil, and replacing all relevant materials/parts.Essential FunctionsAssist in complete check of vehicle and/or equipmentEnsure proper care is taken to prevent damage to customer's vehicle and/or equipmentVacuum complete interior of the vehicle, and discard trashThoroughly clean exterior windowsCheck, and communicate initial oil levelDetermine, communicate and physically verify correct oil filter applicationCheck, and adjust all tire levels on vehicle to proper inflation levelCheck, communicate, fill necessary fluids and replace all capsAdd oil, start vehicle, check oil pressure gauge and check oil dipstickComplete under vehicle inspectionRemove oil drain plug, loosen/remove oil filter, wipe mounting plate and check filter spindleInspect oil drain plug and gasket; replace if necessaryWipe fittings, and lubricateCheck, and fill gearboxesReport under vehicle status to upper bayObserve undercarriage of vehicle to ensure no leaksPerform lower bay quality inspectionQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent preferredPrevious experience in servicing equipment and/or vehicles preferredValid driver's license and personal automobile insurance requiredTravel Requirements Little to no travel required. Environmental Conditions Employee regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts. May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment. Required to perform work in cramped spaces and/or high places. The Lube Technician must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation efficiently and accurately, and without causing significant safety threat to self or others.
