At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As our new Clinical Research Scientist , you'll play a key role in advancing our global clinical development programs and bringing innovative therapies closer to patients.

Reporting to the Senior Clinical Research Scientist within Global Clinical Development, this is an opportunity to shape the scientific direction and execution of innovative oncology clinical trials evaluating Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields). This role offers a unique blend of scientific leadership and direct engagement with investigators and clinical sites. Beyond contributing to protocol development, clinical strategy, and data interpretation, you'll build meaningful partnerships with investigators, participate in study-related site activities, and help ensure the successful execution of clinical trials from concept through completion.

Working at the intersection of science and operations, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams across Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Data Management, Regulatory Affairs, Safety, and Device Support Specialists. WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a key scientific member of our Global Clinical Development team, you will:

  • Contribute to the planning, design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of global clinical development programs across multiple oncology indications.
  • Translate clinical development strategies into high-quality studies that meet scientific, regulatory, and business objectives.
  • Author, review, and coordinate key clinical documents, including study protocols, protocol amendments, clinical study reports, ClinicalTrials.gov summaries, annual reports, and scientific publications.
  • Partner closely with Clinical Operations and Data Management to support study execution, operational excellence, and high-quality clinical data.
  • Lead and support ongoing medical data review activities, including data cleaning, patient profile review, medical coding review, and identification of emerging clinical insights.
  • Contribute to statistical analysis planning and review outputs to ensure robust clinical interpretation and alignment with study objectives.
  • Prepare scientific materials for investigator meetings, Data Monitoring Committees (DMCs), Steering Committees, and senior leadership presentations.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with investigators, key opinion leaders, and clinical research professionals, serving as a scientific partner throughout the lifecycle of clinical studies.
  • Participate in site initiation visits, investigator interactions, scientific meetings, congresses, advisory committees, and other external engagements supporting the successful execution of clinical studies.
  • Maintain deep scientific expertise in oncology and TTFields while ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), applicable regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Foster close collaboration across Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Data Management, and other cross-functional teams to deliver successful clinical programs.

ABOUT YOU

Minimum Requirement:

  • Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of combined oncology and/or biopharmaceutical industry experience in a similar scientific role.
  • Strong understanding of clinical research methodology, study design, and oncology.
  • Experience supporting clinical data review and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across scientific and cross-functional audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 40% or more).

These additional qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous oncology industry experience.
  • Experience working directly with investigators, key opinion leaders, or clinical research sites.
  • Prior experience supporting site initiation visits, investigator meetings, or other investigator-facing activities.
  • Experience contributing to scientific publications or regulatory documentation.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with a passion for scientific excellence and improving outcomes for patients living with cancer.

WHAT WE OFFER

This pay range which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting is USD $125,000 - $185,000. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant in addition to a full range of benefits. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.

Employees are asked to be in the office an average of three days per week, with the flexibility to choose which days' work best for them.
