Tax Manager/ Director (Los Angeles)

Our client is looking for a Manager, Associate Director, or Director of Tax Compliance. This position is hybrid in Los Angeles, CA, with additional opportunities available in other major metro markets across the U.S.Salary: $125,000 - $200,000 depending on levelResponsibilities:Lead tax compliance engagements for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, partnerships, private foundations, and closely held entities.Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns while ensuring filings are completed accurately and on schedule.Manage the end-to-end tax compliance process, including collecting financial information, reviewing supporting documentation, and overseeing filing deliverables.Research and resolve technical tax issues while remaining current on evolving tax laws and regulatory requirements.Partner with internal advisors and external professionals to deliver integrated tax solutions that align with clients' broader wealth planning objectives.Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance efficiencies, and leverage technology to strengthen the tax compliance function.Build and maintain strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor on complex tax compliance matters.Support the continued growth of the tax practice through collaboration, process improvements, and best practices.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.CPA required; JD, LLM, or an advanced tax degree is preferred.7+ years of tax compliance experience supporting ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and complex entities.Public accounting background with a Big 4, regional, or boutique accounting firm.Strong technical expertise in complex Schedules K-1, foreign reporting requirements, and multi-state tax filings.Experience managing multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.Familiarity with UltraTax and/or CCH Axcess is preferred.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.The Solomon Page Distinction Our teams, comprised of subject matter experts, develop an interest in your preferences and goals and we act as an advisor for your career advancement.
