INSURANCE DEFENSE ATTORNEY

Job Describtion:
- Insurance defense litigation including first and third-party claims
- New Jersey automobile accident defense and coverage disputes
- Personal injury defense
- Coverage opinions and pre-litigation evaluations
- Depositions, hearings, and court appearances in New Jersey state and federal courts
- Motion practice including summary judgment and dispositive motions
- Direct representation of insurance companies and self-insured clients
- Independently manage a full insurance defense caseload
- Investigate and defend first and third-party insurance claims
- Handle NJ automobile accident cases from pre-litigation through trial
- Draft dispositive motions, coverage opinions, and legal memoranda
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend court hearings and mediations in New Jersey
- Provide pre-litigation evaluations and strategic recommendations to clients
- Conduct examinations under oath
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active New Jersey Bar license MANDATORY, no exceptions
- 3 10 years of insurance defense litigation experience required
- New Jersey automobile accident defense experience required this is non-negotiable
- Strong motion drafting and courtroom skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
- Must be local to or able to commute to North Jersey no relocation assistance
